A helping hand — finished to our standard.
The customer had already started the roof themselves and needed specialist support to finish the detailing. We fitted a fresh GRP valley and dressed the lead flashings — the parts that decide whether a roof keeps water out for thirty years, or three.

New flaunching, fresh tiles, small details that last.
A chimney left to weather for decades — cracked flaunching, blown mortar and slipped tiles below. Re-flaunched in fresh sand-and-cement, slipped and cracked tiles replaced, and a handful of finishing repairs tied the whole roof back together.

CompleteNew felt, new battens, original slates.
The slates themselves had decades of life still in them — it was the substrate beneath that had failed. Stripped back to the rafters, re-felted with breathable membrane, re-battened in treated timber, and the original slates carefully re-laid. Only broken pieces were replaced, preserving the character of the property.
A fresh face — matched to the rest of the home.
The customer wanted the porch roof to read as part of the original house, not an afterthought. We stripped it back, fitted a fire wall to their specification, re-felted, re-battened and finished in cement-fibre slate — with new fascia and guttering to tie it all together.

Bad lead, brittle cement — solved properly.
The customer had been chasing a persistent leak at the foot of the valley. On inspection, the lead had been laid incorrectly and held in place with cement that simply doesn't move with the roof. We stripped the lot out and fitted a GRP dry valley — no mortar, no movement, no more leaks.

DoneInherited a botched job — finished it properly.
The previous owner had run the EPDM short, then nailed and glued it down with DPC to try and get away with it. The customer was left with the leak. We stripped it back to a sound joint, formed a proper upstand and bonded the new sheet with jointing tape. They also wanted a rooflight added so they could use the space as a workshop — and asked us to leave the trims as bare timber for them to paint, keeping the older, lived-in look.
